This e-book offers a range of revised refereed papers taken from the contributions to the second one eu Workshop on Case-Based Reasoning, EWCBR-94, held on the Abbaye de Royaumont close to Paris in November 1994. The 22 papers incorporated have been selected from a complete of 60 submissions. the real evolution through skilled man made intelligence over the last few years has been primarily encouraged by way of case-based reasoning, fairly through the realm of knowledge-based choice aid. This booklet records the development completed in CBR equipment and instruments throughout the very fresh prior. It additionally outlines the significant good fortune completed within the functions area, specifically within the fields of structure and computer-aided layout, activity making plans, chemical synthesis, upkeep and prognosis, and law.

Tools and algorithms for the construction and analysis of systems 15th international conference, TACAS 2009, held as part of the Joint European Conferences on Theory and Practice of Software, EAuthor: Stefan Kowalewski; Anna Philippou

This publication constitutes the refereed court cases of the fifteenth foreign convention on instruments and Algorithms for the development and research of platforms, TACAS 2009, held in York, united kingdom, in March 2009, as a part of ETAPS 2009, the ecu Joint meetings on idea and perform of software program. The 27 complete papers and eight instrument demonstrations integrated within the quantity have been completely reviewed and chosen from 131 submissions.

Dependable Computing — EDCC-3: Third European Dependable Computing Conference Prague, Czech Republic, September 15–17, 1999 Proceedings

The belief of making the eu liable Computing convention (EDCC) was once born in the mean time while the Iron Curtain fell. a bunch of fans, who have been pre viously fascinated by examine and instructing within the ? eld of fault tolerant computing in several ecu international locations, agreed that there's not any element in maintaining pre viously self sustaining actions aside and created a steerage committee which took the accountability for getting ready the EDCC calendar and appointing the chairs for the in dividual meetings.

The 1st overseas convention on clever Tutoring platforms (ITS) used to be held ten years in the past in Montreal (ITS ’88). It used to be so good got by way of the foreign group that the organizers determined to do it back in Montreal 4 years later, in 1992, after which back in 1996. ITS ’98 differs from the former ones in that this is often the 1st time the convention has been held open air of Montreal, and it’s purely been years (not 4) because the final one.

G. jumping, rollingUp and drillingDown) are defined in a very elegant manner. 1 Introduction Data warehouses and OLAP are essential elements of decision support [5], they enable business decision makers to creatively approach, analyze and understand business problems [16]. While data warehouses are built to store very large amounts of integrated data used to assist the decision-making process [9], OLAP, which is first formulated in 1993 by [6], is a technology that processes data from a data warehouse into multidimensional structures to provide rapid response to complex analytical queries.

Section 2 contains a description of the goals of this approach. Section 3 gives a short overview of Markowitz’s portfolio theory, which is the basis for the adaptation, described in section 4. In section 5 we apply the approach to “conventional” data warehouses. The integration of prognosis data is discussed in section 6 and followed by an investigation of the general limitations of this approach (section 7). The paper concludes with section 8 (related works) and section 9, where we give a summary and conclusion of this work.

Tjoa, and R. Wagner 4 Conclusion and Future Works In this paper, we have introduced the conceptual multidimensional data model, which facilitates even sophisticated constructs based on multidimensional data elements such as dimension elements, measure data values and then cells. e. dimensions, measures, and metacubes. Based on these concepts, the data model is able to represent and capture natural hierarchical relationships among dimension members. Therefore, dimensions with complexity of their structures, such as: unbalanced and multihierarchical structures [15], can be modeled in an elegant and consistent way.
